Lee Marine, Inc. was formed in 1978. My name is Greg Lee, and
from an early age, my hobby and passion has always been boating. I grew
up boating with my family every weekend on Kentucky Lake. From the age
of 9 I was piloting my father’s 1964 37’ Owens cruiser up and down the
lake. My favorite things - fishing and water skiing turned to repairing
engines and working on boats, then at the age of 19, I founded Lee
Marine, and operated as a mobile service facility. That same year, I
began racing boats, which 13 years later culminated into 2 APBA US
national championships. By this time, I had opened my own
full line dealership selling Mariner outboards, Mercruiser stern
drives, and Glastron and Laser runabouts and bass boats.
Known for outstanding troubleshooting and mechanical abilities, I
quickly developed a loyal clientele who appreciated my meticulous
approach to service and repair of their prized possessions. Over the
next several years I received numerous sales and outstanding service
awards from Mercury Marine, Volvo Penta, Glastron, Wellcraft, Trojan
Yachts, and by the late 1990’s I had become a top 10% Chris Craft
dealer, top 15% Donzi dealer, and began specializing in structural
repair and refinishing of fiberglass and gel coat, electronics and HVAC
installations, yacht service and maintenance and complete vessel
refurbishing and remodeling, in addition to being a consultant to
various boat manufacturers.
I’ve always loved my work and my clients are my friends and family. I’m
always available 24/7 by cell phone, and due to my extensive hands on
background, I take great pride in being a great troubleshooter over the
phone - becoming a personal Wizard of Oz for my clients, as every moment
spent on the water is precious to all of us! As a surveyor, I am VERY
thorough and due to my structural and mechanical repair background, I
know where most problems likely are or are likely to occur on any
particular brand, and that knowledge obviously is invaluable.
No longer a full line retail boat dealer, I’ve chosen to concentrate
my time and talents simply to make my many client’s (cultivated during
my 30 year career) boating experience as pleasurable and trouble free as
possible. I offer boat brokerage, complete service, repair, refinishing
and refurbishing, custom remodeling,
installations, custom engine work and upgrades, and a personal yacht
care service, for my most meticulous clients. I also offer a rather
exclusive finder's service in which, based on your desires and needs
criteria, I will thoroughly search the world over for that perfect boat
just for you; we will personally inspect, survey, and sea-trial a
particular vessel as your representative, and based on my many years
background in service and repair and over two decades as a top retail
dealer, you can be confident in your new purchase. Even if you desire a
new vessel, I can work with many marine retailers throughout the country
that we have developed relationships with throughout the years to ensure
